Have been here a few times and we've had a good experience each time. Our first time sitting on the bar side at a high top at our last visit and our waitress Mel B was great. Our food was delicious and our drinks were perfect. We ordered the Nachos, Steak Tips & Lemon Garlic Chicken. The Pistachio Martini was amazing & the Painkiller came in a neat pineapple glass. We enjoy the atmosphere and good vibes each time. Always find good parking. Beautiful restaurant.
On March 14, 2026 (a Saturday) four friends and I had lunch together. The food was very good and our server was outstanding. Our group ate in the beautiful large dining room. Our server appeared to be working alone but she was calm, friendly and professional. She answered all our questions and we never felt ignored or rushed. Excellent dining experience.
I had my 30 person rehearsal dinner here and have nothing but compliments. The private space was the perfect size for our group. The food was absolutely delicious and they made accommodations based on allergies/dietary needs. Donna was so easy to communicate with and all the staff were amazing!
As a former manager in the hospitality industry, I don’t say this lightly—Grille 151 hits a home run every single time I visit. From the moment you walk in, the hospitality is top tier. The staff is attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, creating an experience that stands out from other restaurants on the South Shore. Whether I’m stopping in for a business lunch or a casual night out, the consistency is always impressive. One thing that truly sets this place apart is the ownership. When I visit for business lunches, the owner personally makes it a point to stop by the table and check in—that level of care and attention is rare and speaks volumes about how this restaurant is run. The food and drinks are just as exceptional. Some of my personal favorites include the perfectly crispy fish and chips, the flavorful Django burger, and the French onion dip—which is an absolute must-try. Every dish is executed with quality and consistency you can count on. The atmosphere is elegant and versatile, whether you're relaxing in the bar and lounge area or enjoying a more formal experience in the dining room. It strikes the perfect balance for any occasion. Without a doubt, this is one of the best restaurants on the South Shore on every level—hospitality, food, drinks, and overall experience. This place is amazing. Every time we go its an amazing time. I have alot of medical issues so finding a reliable place to eat and unwind is difficult. I am celiac and they have always been able to accomodate my needs and go above and beyond to make sure my food is just as good as everyone elses. I also can't drink alcohol anymore and they always make me delicous mocktails in a cute glass so its like I feel like a normal diner there, which is difficult to do. The best experience was mothers day though. We had reservations elsewhere and they totally screwed us over and had to find somewhere to eat last minute and even though they were slammed they made room for us and we never even felt rushed. They are kind, attentive and the food is to die for. My goal is to eat as many thing on the menu as I can, but its hard when you have so many fan favorites that makes you want to repeat meals. Overall I highly highly reccomend this place and I am PICKY! Thank you guys for amazing service and food!
When you find yourself hosting a party and would like to have it catered, Grille 151 is where you should go. Above all the food is delicious. Now add in the ease and convenience from their customer service, talented kitchen staff, the option to pick a date and time for the food and the food warming containers they allow you use to transport the food home. Our biggest challenge continues to be what to select off the menu, all good options. We have been going to Grille 151 for our catering events for multiple years and they can accommodate parties of various sizes. Our catering events ranged from a headcount of 30 to 80. Regardless of the party size and quantity of food the quality has always remained on point. While this review is focused on our catering experiences, we also have many dining experiences at Grille 151. We enjoy our adult get away times from the kids sneaking out to the bar. The atmosphere is warm, friendly bartenders who are skilled at their craft and the seating is very comfortable. Thank you, Grille 151, for continuing to provide consistent enjoyable experiences. Billy is an outstanding bartender who always provides excellent service. He’s friendly, attentive, and makes everyone feel welcome from the moment they walk in. His drink recommendations are spot-on, and he consistently goes above and beyond to ensure customers have a great experience. Whether the bar is busy or slow, Billy maintains a positive attitude and professional demeanor. I highly recommend stopping by and letting Billy take care of you!
When coming all the way from Australia to visit family in Boston recently, wanted to try quintessential Boston fare. My uncle thought to bring me here one night. So please he did. Probably the best meal I had in Boston this trip The Clam Chowder was a delight. Not too heavy or too starchy. Just very well balanced with taste and texture The medium rare Steak Frites was cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned too. The hand cut fries were also golden brown and crunchy I also had a small sample of the Prime Rib. Perfectly cooked and flavoured just like the steak frites Topped off by warm, every helpful and super friendly service from our server Diane, this turned out to be quite the delightful evening catching up with family over an amazing meal Definitely will recommend this brightly lit, well decorated and charming establishment for anyone wanting good, honest home style fare. I myself look forward to coming back next time I am in the Boston area again
Grille 151 is our go-to dinner spot, but don't sleep on their Sunday brunch either! The staff is always friendly. The food is better than similar restaurants in the area, and their cocktails are amazing! For appetizers, we love the chips + dip, Brussels sprouts, burrata, and the prime rib sliders. Calamari is pretty good too! The prime rib entree (available Thurs-Sun) is so good and a really good deal as we regularly get two lunches out of the leftovers. The butterscotch creme brulee is one of the best creme brulees I've ever had!
We had the pleasure of working with Grille 151’s Event Coordinator, Donna, for a recent birthday celebration. I had originally emailed Donna a few months before the date to confirm availability. Donna was quick to respond and continued to have excellent communication throughout the planning process. We used the private dining room for our party. This room is beautiful, bright and has it’s own private bar. The staff were friendly and worked hard throughout the night. All of our guests raved about the food. We can’t thank Donna and Grille 151 enough for such a wonderful experience!
